For cases that do not use edge location extrusions, the alignment dowel ensures that the two halves of the latch will align perfectly; making the locking process faster and easier. The low mount technology allows you to hook the latch onto the edge of the dish to avoid running into it when opened, preventing damage to the latch or yourself.
